Stop the Killer, the game company that launched with 2022’s “Silent Night, Deadly Night,” has announced a rebrand, now going by the name Beyond Killer Games. The announcement comes as the company looks towards its future and looks to expand beyond what it’s been doing to date.
Since its debut in 2022, Stop the Killer has continued to release horror-themed games like “My Bloody Valentine,” “Halloween II,” and “Ghost Face,” all of which have similar objectives: to stop the killer. The company has also released several novelizations of horror films, including “My Bloody Valentine,” “Basket Case,” and most recently “Black Christmas.” However, as it looked to the future, the company recognized a need to move beyond Stop the Killer.
“We love developing games based on horror movies, and we absolutely will continue producing them (we have a huge list that we’re trying to get through!), shared Stop The Killer Founder Anthony Masi when announcing the rebrand. “But we are also making the room to release the games we’ve been developing that are original – and just as fun. And from one horror fan to another, trust me when I say that you will love these games!”
Masi also notes issues with trademarking Stop the Killer also pushed the need for a rebrand.
The next game slated for release from the newly rebranded Beyond Killer Games is “Madman,” based on the 1981 horror film of the same name. It will be available for pre-order on Tuesday, January 28, accompanied by a full artwork reveal. On Wednesday, Beyond Killer Games will reveal its next game release, but they haven’t shared if it will be another horror title or one of the original games alluded to in the rebrand announcement.
