Russians played a big part in “Stranger Things 3” and the first teaser for “Stranger Things 4,” which revealed the fate of the character Jim Hopper and suggested we’d be spending at least some of the upcoming season on Russian soil. Now, Dark Horse Comics is taking the “Stranger Things” comic books overseas with the forthcoming release of “Stranger Things: Kamchatka.”
The latest in a series of “Stranger Things” spinoff comics, which have filled time gaps and added to the overall lore of the hit Netflix series, is set to debut in March. In it, a Russian scientist is kidnapped by Soviet troops, leaving nothing for his two teenage children but a mysterious case and a whole lot of questions. While their father is dragooned into weaponizing a monster brought back from the US, the two teenagers embark on a harrowing and perilous journey to find him, with help from an unlikely ally: an old badass KGB spy.
The new four-part series will arrive in comic shops on March 23, 2022.
