Taco Bell is bringing back it’s popular nacho fries on December 24, and to announce their return, the fast food chain has released a cinematic-style ad spot starring Stranger Things’ Joe Keery as a fry obsessed young man on a quest to escape “the craving,” which also happens to be the name of the spot.
“Ever since they left, my mind’s been a little … fried,” says Keery’s character as he packs his car for a trip to a secluded cabin where he hopes to overcome his obsession, but he soon discovers the craving can’t be escaped, especially when you hideaway in a town built upon bold spices.
The 60-second spot is chock full of horror tropes and is a nice escape from the cheery, holiday-themed ads we’re used to seeing this time of year.
