It’s been nearly two years since fans could purchase “Stranger Things” content in the asymmetric multiplayer survival horror video game “Dead by Daylight,” but on Monday, as part of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things Day’ celebration, it was announced that “Stranger Things would be returning to The Fog.
“Stranger Things” first made its appearance in “Dead by Daylight” in the fall of 2019 with the arrival of “Stranger Things” characters The Demogorgon, Nancy Wheeler, and Steve Harrington and The Underground Complex Map. The content remained in the game for the duration of the original licensing agreement but was removed from the game’s store in November of 2021. While players who had purchased the “Stranger Things” characters could still use them when playing “Dead by Daylight,” the map was decommissioned, and it seemed as though that was the end of the “Stranger Things” chapter in the game.
But as of Monday, it appears that there has been an updated agreement, and “Stranger Things” is back, bringing with it The Demogorgon, Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and The Underground Complex Map.
Not much seems to have changed since the original release. In fact, “Dead by Daylight” repurposed the same trailer from the initial 2019 announcement for the 2023 return. Check it out below:
The returning skins and map are available now in the game’s store.
