On Tuesday, Super7 unveiled more new products as part of its March of the Monsters online product reveal event, and among the reveals were new ReAction figures inspired by the film “The Return of the Living Dead” and some iconic monsters from the pre-code era of comic books.
The Return of the Living Dead
Super7 has unveiled its second wave of “The Return of the Living Dead” ReAction Figures with Tarman and Trash. Tarman is the grotesque melted zombie re-animated by Trioxin gas in the film, and Trash is the punk gang member famously played by Linnea Quigley. Trash was previously released in the first wave of “The Return of the Living Dead” ReAction figures in her zombie form. Both 3.75″ articulated figures come on themed cardbacks.
Both Trash and Tarman are available on Super7.com for $20 each, or you can buy the two together for $40.
Pre-Code Horror
The second wave of Pre-Code Horror ReAction figures will feature four new characters inspired by cover art from vintage issues of “The Unseen,” “Chamber of Chills,” and “The Beyond.”
The first figure is inspired by issue 19 of “Chamber of Chills,” which features the iconic artwork from Lee Elias. The cover features an attractive woman smoking a cigarette across from a skeleton, toasting his glass to reveal her skeletal features. The figure features a half-skeletal face, a cigarette in hand, and a cocktail glass accessory.
The second figure from “Chamber of Chills” is inspired by issue 23 of the magazine. Also created by Lee Elias, the cover features a zombie attempting to kiss a terrified woman. For the ReAction Figure, Super7 has created the complete look of the zombie in a suit.
From “The Beyond,” Super7 has turned the werewolf from issue #1, “The Werewolf Strikes,” into a ReAction figure outfitted in a red shirt and blue pants.
Rounding out the second wave of figures is the ghoulish green zombie from the cover of issue nine of “The Unseen.” The figure perfectly depicts the zombie’s white, windblown hair and tattered red clothes.
Each 3.75″ articulated figure comes packaged on a cardback featuring artwork from the comic book that inspired the figure. Wave 2 of the Pre-Code Horror ReAction Figures are available for purchase as a complete set of four for $80, or you can buy them individually for $20 each.
Super7’s first wave of Pre-Code Horror ReAction figures debuted last year, featuring characters inspired by covers from issues of Black Cat Mystery, Ghostly Weird Stories, Chilling Tales, and Baffling Mysteries.
