Wired Productions, in partnership with Portuguese indie studio Camel 101, has announced that their upcoming first-person shooter “Beneath” will be featured as part of Lovecraftian Days Steam Fest. To celebrate, “Beneath” has received a new trailer showcasing the eldritch beasts that await players in this deep-sea survival-horror adventure.
First announced in 2023, “Beneath” marks a renewed collaboration between Wired Productions and Camel 101, who previously collaborated on the 2019 psychological thriller “Those Who Remain.” In it, you play as veteran deep-sea diver Noah Quinn, whose routine expedition plunges into chaos, trapping him in the depths of the ocean, where an ancient evil lurks. As supplies dwindle and nightmarish creatures close in, Noah must confront horrifying mutations, creeping madness, and a sinister conspiracy that threatens humanity itself.
Drawing inspiration from iconic titles such as “F.E.A.R.,” “Resident Evil,” and “Half-Life,” “Beneath” promises to deliver a gripping blend of action, psychological tension, and atmospheric storytelling.
For those looking to get their hands on the game, a closed monthly playtest for “Beneath” will begin next month on May 15. Players will get an early hands-on look at Beneath and a chance to shape the game’s future. Those interested can now sign up to join the playtest.
“Beneath” will be coming soon to PC, and is available to wishlist now via Steam.
