The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild announced winners of its 10th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards in 23 film, television, commercials, and live theater categories. Among this year’s winners were Shudder’s “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans” and FX’s “American Horror Stories.”
Swanthula Boulet and Dracmorda Boulet took home the award for Best Make-Up in the Daytime Television category for their work in “The Boulet Brothers Dragula: Titans.” The duo beat out “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “I Can See Your Voice,” “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” and “The Young and the Restless” in the category.
“American Horror Stories” nabbed two awards in the Commercials & Music Videos category. Kerry Herta, Jason M. Collins, Alyssa Morgan, and Christina Kortum were recognized for Best Make-Up for their work on the “American Horror Stories: Dollhouse” promo, while Joe E. Matke III, Tiphanie G. Baum, Jerilynn Stephens, and Johnny L. Lomeli were recognized for Best Hair Styling in the “American Horror Stories” season 2 promos.
The 10th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards was held on Saturday night, February 11, 2023, before a sold-out audience of over 800 at The Beverly Hilton and was livestreamed. Actress Melissa Peterman charmed as host of the lively event.
