While us here on the west coast are getting ready to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland later this year, folks in Florida have a couple more years until they celebrate theirs, and one LEGO builder is hoping to celebrate with the release of an official Haunted Mansion LEGO set.
Based on The Haunted Mansion at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Florida, a LEGO builder by the name “GoodOlPrice” has submitted a product idea he hopes to make a reality by the time the attraction celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2021.
The proposed set is made up of approximately 2,900 bricks and features the facade of the mansion as the front with individual rooms from the attraction accessible in the back. Recognizable elements of the mansion include:
- Front Gate
- Foyer and gallery with stretching portraits
- Endless Corridor
- Madame Leota’s Seance Room
- Ballroom and Conservatory
- Attic
The proposed set would come with eight minifigures that include:
- Constance
- All three hitchhiking ghosts (Phineas, Ezra, and Gus)
- Organist
- Butler
- Maid
- Hatbox Ghost
At the time of this writing, the LEGO Ideas submission has 312 of the needed 10,000 supporters in order to be eligible for review and consideration to be turned into an actual set. But with 421 days left to reach the goal, there is plenty of time to hit that.
This is the second attempt by GoodOlPrice to get a Haunted Mansion set created. Ahead of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary he attempted this same feet, but did not reach the goal in time for the attractions anniversary and figured he’d try again with the Florida version ahead of its anniversary.
