Back in January, Lemax teased some of its 2020 Spooky Town collection on Instagram. This week, the Halloween village maker has added the bulk of their 2020 collection to their website.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Spooky Town, Lemax is releasing over a dozen new buildings as well as a slew of fun accessories. Currently, the website is only highlighting the broader collection that will be available this Halloween season. Exclusives for retailers like Michael’s and the like will likely be revealed later in the year. Check out some of the highlights from the collection below.
Dead Zome Construction Site
The Dead Zone Construction Site, beyond just looking really cool, actually features a number of really fun animated and light up elements. The crane with a zombie hanging from it moves back and forth. The wheelbarrow zombie moves, the welder zombie’s torch flickers, and the zombie trying to repair the power line is holding a cable that features flashing lights.
The Pit and the Pendulum
The Pit and the Pendulum is Lemax’s fun take on the classic swinging gondola ride often found at amusement parks and carnivals, but with an Edgar Allan Poe theme! This village piece features an actual swinging blade, moving gears, glowing torches, and glowing eyes peeking out from the dungeon grates below.
The Ghoulish Gourd Pub & Grill
The Ghoulish Gourd has a number of fun features. The left rooftop jack-o-lantern pivots back and forth while its top half spins around to switch between a “good” and “evil” face changing the color of the light inside with it. The right rooftop jack-o-lantern pops its top and opens and closes its eyes. Scenes in various parts of the building illuminate to coordinate with things that are happening in the soundtrack.
