The home where Lizzie Borden was once believed to have brutally murdered her parents with an ax is up for sale.
The six-bedroom house, which currently operates as a bed and breakfast and museum, was once home to Abby and Andrew Borden, a couple who was brutally murdered with a hatchet in August of 1892. The Borden’s daughter Lizzie was suspected and tried for the murders, but was later acquitted of the crime.
Located in Fall River, MA, the historic home and popular tourist attraction is now on the market with an asking price of $2 million. The sale includes business, trademarks, intellectual rights, and property. You can take a virtual tour of this historic home and tourist destination here.
If that weren’t enough, the Victorian mansion “Maplecroft,” where Lizzie lived out the remainder of her life after she was acquitted of the murders is also available. Located just over a mile from the infamous location of the murders, the historic home features six fireplaces, seven bedrooms, and is being offered fully furnished with period pieces for $890,000.
