Barbara and Adam Maitland, famously played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin in Tim Burton’s 1988 film “Beetlejuice” are getting new Funko Pop! figures inspired by one of their most iconic appearances in the movie: rotting corpses as a result of Otho’s exorcism. But if you want to add them to your collection, there’s a bit of a catch.
The new “Beetlejuice” Pop! figures are being made available as part of a new Beetlejuice x Funko NFT collection being offered through Droppp. Starting on November 12, 2024, fans will have the opportunity to purchase limited edition packs of digital Pop! figures inspired by “Beetlejuice.” A Standard Pack (limited to an edition size of 7,000) comes with five random Digital Pop! figures for $9.99, or a Premium Pack (limited to an edition size of 9,500) comes with 17 random Digital Pop! figures for $29.99.
In each digital pack, you have the opportunity to receive the Legendary Adam and Barbara Maitland Digital Pop! figures, which qualify you for a Redemption Token to redeem for the physical version of the Pop! figures. Each figure is limited to an edition size of 1,800 and glows in the dark, giving them an eerie green appearance like in the film. Other physical releases in the series include The Magician’s Assistant from the Afterlife Waiting Room and Freddy Funko as Beetlejuice.
The Beetlejuice x Funko Digital Pop! release from Droppp goes on sale on November 12 at 11 AM PT at Droppp.io. The physical versions will not ship until Q2 2025. The series is being listed as “Series 1,” which means we may see more “Beetlejuice” Pop! figures arrive via NFT purchase in the future.
