Season’s Screamings, the holiday-themed horror convention from the producers of Midsummer Scream, have been slowly unveiling more and more details around the convention and its offerings ahead of this month’s convention and the latest announcement is a panel dedicated to the making of “Muppets Haunted Mansion.”
The panel will close out the three-day convention with “The Making of ‘Muppets Haunted Mansion'” at 5 PM on Sunday, December 19. During the panel, “Muppets Haunted Mansion” Director Kirk Thatcher and crew will take fans behind the scenes and share stories about making the first-ever Muppets Halloween special. (And if it’s anything like the “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell” panel Thatcher hosted at Midsummer Scream 2019, there are sure to be plenty of behind-the-scenes photos.)
“Muppets Haunted Mansion” debuted this past October on Disney+ and gave fans a movie mashup featuring The Muppets and the fan-favorite Disney attraction The Haunted Mansion. In it, Muppets Gonzo and Pepe The Prawn are challenged to spend a night in the haunted abode.
The special featured an all-star cast of fan-favorite Muppets alongside Will Arnett, Yvette Nicole Brown, Darren Criss, and Taraji P. Henson and featured special appearances from Chrissy Metz, Alfonso Ribeiro, Ed Asner, Jeannie Mai, Danny Trejo, Sasheer Zamata, Craig Robinson, Skai Jackson, Pat Sajak, Geoff Keighley, Justina Machado, John Stamos, and Kim Irvine.
In addition to its “Muppets Haunted Mansion” panel, Season’s Screamings has a packed two-day schedule filled with live podcast recordings, presentations, and more. Check out the entire weekend lineup below, with more panels and presentations expected to be announced leading up to the event:
