Funko has announced the Universal Monsters as one of the latest licenses to join its growing line of Funkoverse strategy games.
Funkoverse is Funko’s interchangeable game system that lets you mix and match your favorite characters from its various base games and expansions to go head-to-head in exciting game scenarios set in memorable locations. Players use their character’s unique abilities to score points and work towards a victory. Past releases have included themes like “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Jaws,” and “Jurrasic Park.”
The new game will feature exclusive Funkoverse Pop! game figures of The Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and The Invisible Man, all in a black and white color palette, and Dracula’s Castle and Frankenstein’s Laboratory as the game’s maps. Assemble the Bride of Frankenstein from robbed graves to unleash her undead prowess. Use Dracula’s blood-draining abilities to power up your attacks and terrorize your foes using his special blood-red die. Ambush and abduct your rivals with the Creature From the Black Lagoon. Four different gameplay scenarios give four different ways to play the game!
The Funkoverse: Universal Monsters 100 4-Pack will be released on July 3, 2022, and is available for pre-order now through Amazon.
