Last month I shared that Vans had teased a new collection inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, this week the shoe company finally unveiled the release date of the new collection and you can expect to find the shoes in stores and online starting tomorrow! The new collection features 10 different pairs of shoes as well as complimentary apparel and accessories.
Jack’s Lament is featured on the Sk8-Hi with each of the four panels showcasing a frame from Jack’s walk through the Halloween Town cemetery. A special message that reads “Nice Work, Bone Daddy” on the inside collar completes the design.
The Pumpkin King’s ghostly suit including cat and bat wing applique is mimicked on the Classic Slip-On, while another Classic Slip-On will feature emblematic elements from Oogie Boogie’s underground lair, including dice and skull graphics on the sidewall along with Oogie Boogie’s shadow. Not to be forgotten, Oogie Boogie’s trio of henchmen – Lock, Shock and Barrel can be found on the Old Skool and panels of an Era.
Dr. Finkelstein’s master humanoid creation, Sally, receives her very own Era Stacked silhouette. Inspired by her very creation, the shoe is collaged with various prints from her dress and features hand-stitched details as a nod to Sally’s unique beauty.
