‘The Watchers:’ New Trailer Arrives for Ishana Night Shyamalan’s Feature Directorial Debut

In February, we got our first look at “The Watchers,” the feature film directorial debut from Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of M. Night Shyamalan. On Monday, Warner Bros. Pictures released a second trailer for the film, written for the screen and directed by Shyamalan and based on the novel by A.M. Shine.

“The Watchers” stars Dakota Fanning (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”) as Mina, a 28-year-old artist who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.

The latest trailer for the film gives us a deeper look at the upcoming thriller and a glimpse of the horrors lurking deep within the forests of Ireland.

Georgina Campbell (“Barbarian”), Oliver Finnegan (“Creeped Out”), and Olwen Fouere (“The Northman”) round out the film’s cast.

The film is being produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, and Nimitt Mankad. Jo Homewood and Stephen Dembitzer are the executive producers.

The release of “The Watchers” was recently bumped back and is now set to open in theaters internationally beginning June 12, 2024, and in North America on June 14, 2024.
