Thriller ‘House of Abraham’ Getting North American Theatrical Run Starting in June

Abramorama has announced that it has acquired American theatrical distribution rights for “House of Abraham,” a gripping horror/thriller starring Natasha Henstridge (“Species”), Lin Shaye (The “Insidious” franchise), and Lukas Hassel (โ€œThe Blacklistโ€).

“House of Abraham” is the feature film debut of director Lisa Belcher and follows Dee (Henstridge), a conflicted woman haunted by her childhood memories of finding her mother dead, who checks into the House of Abraham looking for an end to her suffering. Upon checking in, she meets six other weekend guests there for the same reason as herself โ€” ending their lives with the assistance of the enigmatic host, Abraham (Hassel). But Dee soon discovers all is not what it seems and must plan an escape before it’s too late.

“This film dares to tackle themes often overlooked by mainstream studios, resulting in a film that is both daring and thought-provoking,” said Belcher. “Filmed in Austin, Texas, our close-knit cast and crew poured their hearts into this project, and I am beyond excited to share our labor of love with the world.”

The Film was produced by Lisa Belcher, Paul Merryman (“The Outpost”), and Melissa Kirkendall (“Accidental Texan”). Executive Producers include Sid Ganis, Vance & Priscilla Hinton, Henstridge, and Shaye.

“Combining elements of mystery and horror with a touch of social satire, director Lisa Belcher has crafted a true original,” said Abramorama CEO Karol Martesko-Fenster. “The film is a true thrill ride and Abramorama is looking forward to bringing Lisa’s debut feature film ‘House of Abraham’ to audiences across North America.”

“House of Abraham” will begin its theatrical run in New York City on June 13 at LOOK Dine-in Cinema before continuing a national rollout.
