Over the weekend, NECA unveiled five new 8″ clothed action figures inspired by characters from Jaws, Scream, Hatchet, and They Live. The new figures were debuted as part of NECA’s Toy Fair New York product announcements.
Jaws
From Jaws, NECA has announced 8″ clothed action figures of Chief Brody and Quint from the seminal 1975 aquatic horror.
The Chief Brody figure features a licensed likeness of actor Roy Schneider and comes complete with a handful of screen accurate accessories including his revolver, a bucket of chum, and more!
Like Chief Brody, the Sam Quint figure features a licensed likeness of the character based on actor Robert Shaw’s portrayal in the film. The seasoned shark hunter comes equipped with screen accurate accessories that include a rifle, harpoon gun, baseball bat, machete, and more.
Both figures are scheduled to be released in September this year and NECA has announced that collectors can expect a scale companion piece of the film’s great white shark to also be released later this year.
Scream
Fans of the Scream franchise will again be able to get their hands on an 8″ clothed Ghostface figure based on the killer’s appearance in the Scream films.
The poseable figure comes with a tailored robe, hood, and sleeves modeled after the real-life Ghostface costume and features a screen-accurate sculpted mask. The figure also comes with interchangeable hands and accessories like a knife, voice changer, and cell phone.
The Ghostface 8″ clothed action figure is scheduled to be released in July.
Hatchet
NECA is giving Hatchet killer Victor Crowley a lot of love this year. At the start of Toy Fair, it was revealed the character would be part of series four of NECA’s Toony Terrors line and now we’ve also learned that he will be getting an 8″ clothed action figure.
The first action figure of the character ever to be created, the 8″ Victor Crowley figure features rooted hair, real fabric overalls, and comes complete with a belt sander and double-sided axe.
The 8″ clothed Victor Crowley figure is scheduled to be released in August of this year.
They Live
And last, but not least, They Live fans will for the first time ever be able to get their hands on a John Nada action figure.
The 8″ clothed figure is made to look like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s character in the John Carpenter cult favorite They Live. Nada comes with a shotgun, pistol, and sunglasses accessories. (Bubblegum not included.)
NECA’s 8″ John Nada clothed action figure is scheduled to be released this July.
