Universal Studios Hollywood is putting a bullet in the head of the Halloween Horror Nights maze turned permanent attraction, and closing “The Walking Dead” next month.
The attraction, which was inspired by the AMC television series of the same name is scheduled to close on March 4 after operating in the park since 2016. The attraction mixed animatronics and real-life actors playing zombies to terrify guests as they made their way through the indoor maze.
According to The Los Angeles Times the area where “The Walking Dead” attraction is currently housed will make way for a new animal-themed area that will be known as “Pets Place” and feature a new attraction based on the animated feature film The Secret Life of Pets.
But its not all bad news for “The Walking Dead” fans, Universal Studios Hollywood spokeswoman Audrey Eig, told the L.A. Times that a “The Walking Dead” maze will be returning to the park’s annual Halloween Horror Nights event.
