Funko has kicked off day three of its Funkoween product reveal event, and they’ve started the day off announcing a Walmart exclusive Funko Pop! figure inspired by the 1976 horror classic “Carrie.”
The new Pop! figure is of the film’s lead character Carrie White, famously played by Sissy Spacek, in her prom dress, holding a bouquet and wearing her prom queen crown.
The Walmart exclusive Funko Pop! will be released on September 23, 2021, but is available for pre-order now on Walmart.com.
Funkoween is taking place from May 24 – May 28, and more than 40 different product announcements are expected to be made. Coverage will continue throughout the week, so be sure you’re following along here and @AllHallowsGeek on social media!
*In the original article I had commented on how a plain Carrie seemed like a bizarre choice for this character as opposed to being soaked in pigs’ blood. However commenter Brigitte Dean pointed out that a blood-soaked version of the figure had already been released. Doing a little research I found that the first Carrie White Pop! figure was in fact blood-soaked and released in 2017. Based on this information the article has been updated to remove these comments.
A version of the character covered in blood was already released a couple of years ago actually.
