War Comes to Hawkins in Explosive Second Trailer for ‘Stranger Things 4’

On Monday, Netflix kicked off a livestream counting down until the release of an all-new trailer for “Stranger Things 4,” and on Tuesday, the streaming service delivered, with a new trailer highlighting what looks to be one of the most intense seasons to date.

While past teasers and trailers focused more on the struggles of teenage life that our, now much older, cast faces. This trailer focuses on the real struggle: an all-out war with the upside-down in Hawkins. The trailer is cleverly set to the Journey song “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” emphasizing that the series will now span various locations with our cast dispersed across Hawkins, California, and Russia.

The new trailer also gives us some fascinating first looks, including Robert Englund as Victor Creel and a new monster from the Upside Down, who it seems might be the one responsible for its horrors.

The highly anticipated fourth season of “Stranger Things” will premiere on May 27, 2022. The season will be a two-part season, with Volume 1 debuting on May 27 and Volume 2 debuting on July 1. When “Stranger Things 4” debuts, it will pick up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. “Stranger Things 4” will also be the beginning of the end of this beloved Netflix series, as the Duffer Brothers announced the show’s fifth season will be its last.
