After several clips of children running around at night went viral on social media, Warner Bros. has finally tied them all together with the release of an official trailer for its upcoming horror thriller, “Weapons,” which is slated to hit theaters on August 8, 2025.
From New Line Cinema and writer/directed Zach Cregger (“Barbarian”), “Weapons” tells the story of Maybrook, a town where, one night at 2:17 a.m., all but one child from a third-grade class voluntarily left their homes and then vanished, leaving the community to question who or what was behind their disappearance.
The film stars Josh Brolin (“Avengers: End Game), Julia Garner (“The Assistant”), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story”), Austin Abrams (“Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”), Cary Christopher (“Days of Our Lives”), with Benedict Wong (“Annihilation”), and Amy Madigan (“Field of Dreams”).
“Weapons” is produced by Cregger alongside Roy Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules, with Michelle Morrissey and Josh Brolin executive producing.
