The third film in The Conjuring franchise will be titled The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and will feature Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprising their roles as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The latest installment will be based on the Warrens’ involvement in the famous case of Arne Cheyenne Johnson. Famously known as the “Devil Made Me Do It” case, Johnson was accused and ultimately convicted in the killing of his landlord Alan Bono, but Johnson’s defense argued that he was possessed by a demon that once inhabited the body of an 11-year-old boy whose case the Warrens had once investigated. The case is famously known as “The Devil Made Me Do It” case,
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is scheduled to open in theaters in September 2020.
