During Summer Game Fest, the latest game in “The Dark Pictures Anthology,” “House of Ashes,” made its world premiere with an all-new game trailer.
The third game in the horror series takes place in Iraq in 2003, where American forces believe they’ve found a chemical weapons bunker that turns out to be the ruins of a Sumerian temple. While fighting Iraqi forces in the Arabian desert, the ground below them collapses. Now, both American and Iraqi soldiers find themselves stranded and face-to-face against an ancient evil. Will they prioritize their own survival or put aside their fears and personal rivalries to fight together as one? It’s up to you to decide!
“House of Ashes” is available for pre-order now and will be released on October 22, 2021 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
From the creators of “Until Dawn,” each game in “The Dark Pictures Anthology” is its own complete and original story. Players switch between the perspective of five playable characters, all of which can live or die depending on the choices you make. Players can play solo, or as four-player local co-op, or two-player online co-op. For more information, visit thedarkpictures.com.
