I was late to the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” party. It premiered my Junior year of high school and while I knew people that watched it, I wouldn’t discover it myself until the show’s fourth or fifth season, but once I did I was hooked. I Tivo’d as many syndicated reruns of the show as I could to get caught up and followed both Buffy and the spinoff “Angel” until the end.
As a long time fan of the Buffyverse I was pleasantly surprised when my wifes latest issue of Entertainment Weekly arrived and featured an exclusive “Angel” cast reunion. The series, which starred David Boreanaz and Charisma Carpenter premiered 20 years ago on The WB and to celebrate Entertainment Weekly brought the living members of the core cast (Glenn Quinn passed away in 2002 and Andy Hallett passed away in 2009) back together for an exclusive interview and cover story and as a bonus put together a special featurette with the returning cast.
The nearly 45-minute long feature includes stars David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter, Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards, Amy Acker, James Marsters and co-creator David Greenwalt as they share their favorite memories and behind-the-scenes stories from the making of this fan-favorite series.
