Shudder has released the first official trailer for Scare Me, the Shudder Original horror-comedy starring Aya Cash, Josh Ruben, Chris Redd and Rebecca Drysdale.
Scare Me follows Fred (Ruben), a struggling horror writer who, by chance, crosses paths with best-selling author Fanny (Cash) while on a walk. When the power goes out, the two find themselves holed up in a cabin. Joined by a pizza guy (Redd), the two decide to kill time swapping scary stories, but as their stories unfold, Fred soon realizes he’s not that great at his craft.
In addition to starring in the film, Ruben wrote and directed the Shudder Original. Ruben is a five-time Webby Award-winning actor, writer, and director best known for appearing in and/or directing hundreds of shorts for comedy megasite, CollegeHumor.
Scare Me will premiere on Shudder on October 1, 2020.
