Typically, Disney Channel reserves its spookier content for the Halloween season. Still, on New Years Day, the network released the trailer for “Secrets of Sulphur Springs,” which is set to premiere later this month and looks to have a bit of a spookier vibe.
The 11-episode series follows 12-year-old Griffin Campbell (Preston Oliver), whose family has just uprooted their lives to move to the small town of Sulphur Springs and take ownership of The Tremont, an abandoned hotel, in hopes of restoring it into the lively vacation destination it once was. Unbeknownst to the family, the entire town believes that the hotel is haunted by the ghost of a girl named Savannah (Elle Graham), who disappeared over 30 years earlier.
When Griffin befriends Harper (Kyliegh Curra), a bright-eyed, mystery-obsessed classmate, they set out to solve the mystery of Savannah’s disappearance and uncover a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time. In the past, they’ll attempt to uncover the key to solving this mystery, a mystery that affects everyone close to them.
“Secrets of Sulphur Springs” will premiere on Disney Channel on Friday, January 15 at 8 PM with a special one hour premiere event.
