IFC Midnight on Thursday released the official teaser for director Neill Blomkamp’s (“District 9”) new sci-fi/horror film “Demonic.”
The new film stars Carly Pope (“Elysium”), who we see in the new teaser get dropped into some sort of virtual world where she comes face to face with a demonic entity, and from what we gather from the trailer, suggests maybe she brings a part of it back with her to the normal world.
A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are revealed.
The film also stars Chris William Martin (“The Vampire Diaries”), Michael J. Rogers (“Siren”), Nathalie Boltt (“Riverdale”), Kandyse McClure (“Charmed”), and Terry Chen (“A Million Little Things”).
“Demonic” will be released in theaters and through Video On Demand on August 20, 2021.
