Earlier this year we got a taste of what the new Addams Family animated feature film was going to be like, but in an all-new trailer released this morning, we get an idea of what to expect from the film’s plot.
It turns out the Addams’ are moving and have found a new home in New Jersey. From the trailer we gather that the film will revolve around the Addams’ ability, or inability, to integrate into the norms of society. Much of the trailer repurposes scenes from the previously released trailer, but we are introduced to some of the “normal” characters that the Addams’ will interact with. We also finally meet Cousin It, who will apparently be voiced by Snoop Dogg.
After watching the second trailer I am a bit on the fence about the film. While I loved Wednesday’s science lab frog reanimation scene featured in the trailer, the rest of the new scenes were just so-so and the scene where a character exclaims “This is going to be lit” might explain the cheesy taglines on some of the posters released for the film.
On the fence or not, I know damn well that when this is released on October 11, 2019 I’m buying a ticket. What did you think of the new trailer? Let me know in the comments or on social media.
