Netflix has released the official teaser for Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” prequel “Army of Thieves,” which is centered around the quirky safe-cracking character Dieter who was introduced in the “Army of the Dead” film.
Taking place just as the zombie apocalypse begins to take hold of the United States, “Army of Thieves” finds Dieter as a small-town bank teller who gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals. With the chaos of the impending apocalypse as a distraction, the group plans to attempt to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.
“Army of Thieves” does not have a release date as of the time of this writing but is expected to be released soon on the streaming service.
