As a father of two, I always appreciate when something new comes out that families can watch together that delves into the realm of horror. This week Netflix released a trailer for a new Netflix Original film that does just that.
“Nightbooks” is an all-new film that tells the story of Alex (Winslow Fegley), a boy obsessed with scary stories, who is trapped by an evil witch (Krysten Ritter) in her magical apartment, and must tell a scary story every night to stay alive. While in captivity, he meets another prisoner, Yasmin (Lidya Jewett), and the two decide to work together to find a way to escape.
“Nightbooks” premieres on Netflix on September 15, 2021.
