Shudder announced that Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula would be joining the streaming platform as part of April’s Halfway to Halloween Month celebration. Today, the premium horror streaming service released the official trailer for the film, which looks to be an action packed zombie fest.
The third installment in the Train to Busan franchise, Peninsula takes place four years after South Korea’s total decimation in Train to Busan. In the latest chapter of director Yeon Sang-ho’s post-apocalyptic world, Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.
Peninsula is a Shudder exclusive that will premiere on April 1, 2021. With its release, Shudder will be the only service in which viewers can watch Yeon Sang-ho’s complete trilogy, including Train to Busan and Seoul Station, on a single platform.
